Who we are

Mental Sense Networking ("we", "us", "our") runs networking events, talks and CPD for counsellors, therapists and wellbeing professionals across Kent. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us. You can reach us at info@mentalsensenetworking.co.uk or on 07471 934658.

The information we collect

We only collect what we need to run our events and stay in touch:

Your name, email address and (if you give it) phone number
Your practice or business name, where relevant
Any dietary requirements or accessibility needs you tell us about
Details of the events and sessions you book
Messages you send us through our contact form or by email

When you pay for a ticket, your card payment is handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

How we use it, and why

To manage your booking and send your ticket and confirmation — this is necessary to provide the service you've asked for.
To contact you about an event you've booked (for example, if details change) — again, to fulfil our commitment to you.
To send you our newsletter about future events — only if you've asked us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To reply to your enquiries — because it's in our legitimate interest to respond to you.
To keep proper financial records — because we're legally required to.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we only share it with the trusted services that help us run our events, each of which handles your data under its own privacy policy:

Ticket Tailor — to manage bookings and tickets
Stripe — to process card payments
Mailchimp — to send our newsletter (if you've subscribed)
Our website hosting provider

We may also share information if we're required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to run the event and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (generally up to 6 years). If you've joined our newsletter, we keep your details until you unsubscribe. Contact-form enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw any consent you've given (such as for the newsletter). Just email us at info@mentalsensenetworking.co.uk and we'll help. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
