Protecting the Practitioner: Staying Well While Caring for Others

๐Ÿ“… March 2027 ยท date to be confirmed shortly ๐Ÿ•˜ Morning session ยท 10:00amโ€“12:00pm ๐Ÿ“ The Friars, Aylesford, Kent ME20 7BX
About this event

Because the people who care for others deserve care too

Supporting other people through their hardest moments is deeply rewarding โ€” and quietly demanding. Over time, the demands of the work, the weight of holding others' pain and the isolation of private practice can take a toll, often before we notice it ourselves.

This warm, honest session is a chance to pause and turn that same care inward. Together we'll look at how to spot the early signs of burnout, protect your own wellbeing, and feel less alone in the work โ€” with plenty of time to connect over tea, coffee & pastries.

What we'll explore

  • Recognising the early, easily-missed signs of burnout
  • Setting and holding boundaries that actually stick
  • Compassion fatigue and the impact of holding others' pain
  • The isolating side of private practice โ€” and how to ease it
  • Realistic self-care that fits a busy caseload

Who it's for

Counsellors, therapists and wellbeing professionals at any stage of their career โ€” whether you're feeling the strain right now or simply want to build habits that keep you well for the long run.

The session

This is a single morning session, 10:00amโ€“12:00pm, limited to 60 people โ€” keeping things intimate enough for real, honest conversation, with tea, coffee & pastries and time to connect.
