Counsellor Connection & Trauma Integration CPD

Building safety and stabilisation โ€” and growing your confidence to support your clients' complex needs.

๐Ÿ“… Friday 11 December 2026 ๐Ÿ•˜ Full day ยท 10:00amโ€“4:00pm ๐Ÿ“ The Friars, Aylesford, Kent ME20 7BX
About this day

Trauma work, grounded in safety

Working with trauma asks a great deal of us as practitioners. This full-day CPD workshop focuses on the foundations that make trauma work safe and effective โ€” building safety and stabilisation before deeper processing โ€” and on growing your own confidence to sit alongside clients with complex needs.

It's a warm, practical and connected day: as much about looking after yourself and meeting like-minded professionals as it is about developing your skills. You'll leave with techniques you can use straight away, and a stronger sense of a community around you.

What we'll cover

  • The foundations of safety and stabilisation โ€” the essential first phase of trauma work
  • Practical grounding and regulation techniques you can use with clients straight away
  • Working within the window of tolerance, and recognising when a client is outside it
  • Growing your own confidence to hold and support clients with complex trauma
  • Time to connect with fellow practitioners and share experience

Who it's for

Counsellors, therapists and wellbeing professionals who want to deepen their trauma-informed practice โ€” whether you're building your foundations or refreshing and extending your existing skills.

The day

A full CPD day running 10:00amโ€“4:00pm, limited to 60 people, with lunch and drinks included and time to connect throughout. A CPD certificate will be provided for your records.
